clear clutter and save ink when you print a webpage after hiding the unnecessary content

Google started working on a new option of print for chrom called simplify page. This feature will strip out all the additional items you really don't need on a page like ads, logos & menu options. The content is clearly to read & saves printer ink when print a page.

Simplify page was not ready for prime time but only available in chrome beta now. But you can't wait for few months  to show up chrome helps to stop wasting printer ink. here is how to print simplify a page on chrome, firefox & microsoft edge browser.

Google Chrome

The best option is to use an chrome extension evernote clearly for right now. This extension creates a simplified reading page which you can print it out.

The negative thing is that in this chrome extension is to create an account to use this. If you didn't use evernote, you can choose another chrome extension like print friendly & PDF.

Firefox And Edge

Both of these browser already have feature built in, before printing it allows you a simplified webpage. See the address bar of browser & right side of it you will see a book icon.

Both browser calls it with different names firefox calls this reader view and microsoft edge calls it reading view. Just simply click on the book icon, wait for the page simplify and then print it out.

It's all there, you saved ink after printing a webpages
