Along with a content delivery network (CDN) like cloud fare just work like boost for your website page loading speed. Now I have been using this and recommend you to use it.
There are the other methods by which you can set up CDN. Cloud Flare does the same work as the W3 Total Cache and MaxCDN. Here the steps which will help you setup the Cloud Flare to your wordpress.
What is Content Delivery Network(CDN)?
Before set up the Cloud Flare, you should be able to understand What is Content Delivery Network & how it can be useful for your wordpress blog? People from technical backround, knows the CDN very well. But who don't know CDN, let me explain you in easy way.
Server placed on a some particular location from where our all wordpress websites are hosted. e.g.:- suppose the the server of the "trending-news.in" is placed on california. All files & data is stored on this server. when you opens site, the files are called from california data center. This happens at very fast speed of internet protocols. In this process there is high number of ping requests which delay to bring the files.
This delay depens on the internet speed or the distance at which the server or data center is placed from you. If server of my site is located in my country then it will take few time to fully load the website. This concept resolve this issue called CDN. After adding your blog to CDN, whenever someone open your website, the files of the site are fetched from different data center which is near to your location.
Benefits Of CDN
- Distributed data centers depending on the visitor location.
- The files are pre-cached.
- Faster loading time.
- Reduces the load on the server, saves bandwidth.
- Minify JavaScripts on the webpage.
- Offers valuable analytical information.
- Extra security layer which protects you from attackers.
- Free of cost.
