Syllabus For UPSC SCRA Exam 2016-2017
SCRA Exam Eligibility:
The candidate who want to apply for UPSC SCRA exam should be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Candidates who are SC/ST have age relaxation of 5 years and age relaxation for those who lie in OBC have 3 years.
Candidate must have attained the age of 17 years and must not have attained the age of 21 years.The date of birth proof accepted by the Commission will be only the Matriculation Certificate or Secondary School Leaving Certificate.No other documents for date of birth will be accepted by the commission.
Candidate must have passed the intermediate from an authorized university or board with maths and physics subjects.Candidate may be gradudate in mathematics or physics.SCRA Syllabus 2016-2017 is given in the last of article.
SCRA Exam Pattern:
UPSC Special Class Railway Apprentice Exam consists of 2 parts-
Part I is a Written Examination carrying a maximum of 600 marks.
Part II is a Personality Test carrying a maximum of 200 marks, and it is conducted for only those candidates who are qualified in the written examination.
Points to be kept in mind-
* The Exam is of Objective type i.e. it consists of
* Multiple Choice Questions.
* The Question Papers (Test Booklets) will be set in * English only.
* Written Test is conducted in Offline mode.
* There will be 3 Papers in the Written Examination.
a.The First paper is of General Ability Test.
b.The Second paper is of Physical Sciences.
c.The Third paper is of Mathematics.
* Each paper is of 200 marks.
* Time allotted for each paper is 2 hours ( i.e. 120 minutes).
Total marks for the exam are 600.
Total time alloted for all 3 papers is 6 hours.
