ITBP Head Constable Syllabus 2016-2017 Exam Pattern

Syllabus For ITBP Head Constable Ministerial 2016-2017

This examination for ITBP Head Constable/Combatant Ministerial would be conducted in the following three steps:

1. Physical Fitness Test

2. Written Examination

3. Skill Test

First of all all eligible candidates after documents verification would be examined for height, chest and weight measurements. Only PFT Qualified Candidates would be able to attained the written test. Rest of the candidates would be eliminated during PST test.t consists of 1.6 KM run in 7 minutes and 30 seconds.So you have to start your preparation for Physical Fitness Test atleast before a month of the notification of exam date.

All PFT qualified candidates would be called to attained the written test. ITBP HC/ Combatant Ministerial Exam Written test would be of 3 Hrs. duration and there would be total 100 no. of questions and each question will carry 1 mark so the whole exam will carry a total of 100 marks. 

The written exam will consists of four subjects that are General Arithmetic, General knowledge, General English and Theoretical Knowledge Of Computer.

General Arithmetic -                   30 Questions      -            30 Marks

 General Knowledge -                 25 Questions      -            25 Marks

General English -                        35 Questions       -            35 Marks

Computer -                                  10 Questions        -            10 Marks

After qualifying Written test candidates would be called for Skill test. Minimum 35% marks are required to get qualified in the written test. Questions would be in both Hindi and English Language in written test.

All candidates qualified in written test would have to attained skill test. In Skill test candidates would be asked to perform in a computer typing test. Candidates would get 10 min. time to perform in skill test. These are the minimum requirements for the typing speed for the skill test.

Hindi Typing: 30 words per min.
English Typing: 35 words per min.
After Skill test a merit list will be generated on the basis on marks obtained in written test and Skill test qualification.ITBP Head Constable Exam Syllabus is Given in the last of the article.

Eligibility For ITBP Head Constable Exam

Age Limit: 

Candidate who want to apply for this exam must have attained the age of 20 and must not have attained 25 years.Age relaxation for the candidates who lie in SC/ST is 5 years and for those who lie in OBC have a relaxation of 3 years.

Educational Qualification: 

Candidates should possess Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with Psychology as a subject or Degree from a recognized University with Bachelor of Education/ Bachelor of Teaching or equivalent with adequate experience.


Selection Process: 

Candidates will be selected based on applicants performance in Physical Standard Test, Written Test & Medical Examination.

Syllabus For ITBP HC/CM 2016-2017 Is Given Below

General Arithmetic : 

The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.

General Knowledge : 

History, Geography and Socio Economic development of India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Modern History (From 1857 onwards) of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India.

General English :

Verb, preposition, adverb, subject verb agreement, Error Correction/ recognition, tenses, sentences rearrangement, fill in the blanks with articles etc., comprehension, answering questions based on unseen passage, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms usage, vocabulary & grammar, Proficiency in the language.

Theoretical Knowledge of Computer : Computer Fundamentals, Windows (MS-Windows), MS-Office : Word Processing (MS-Word), Spread Sheet (MS-Excel), Presentation Knowledge (MS-Power Point), MS Access and Usage of Internet Services available on Internet, Communication Technology, Networking Concepts.

Skill Test:

i) The candidates, who qualify the written exam, will be required to appear in a skill test i.e. typing test on computer as under :- (Minimum speed of 35 words per minute in English typing or minimum speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi typing only on computer. Time allowed-10 minutes) (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 Key depressions for each word).

ii) English typing will be conducted in ‘Times New Roman’ Font only and Hindi typing will be conducted either on Remington or In script Keyboard in Unicode encoding compliant Font ‘Mangal’ only.
