Get More Room on Your Windows 10 Taskbar

In Microsoft Window 10, Inside the start menu there is no longer hiding of search box. Its right at the bottom edge of the screen every time.

Microsoft made the search box so big, this is nice. But it does eat up more space. If you dedicate the precious real estate to things like your taskbar buttons, right click on the blank spot on taskbar.

The menu of shortcut offers Cortana command. Its submenu including the "show search box", "show cortana icon" (only a circle) and "hidden".

If you choose "show cortana icon" or "hidden", you can click on the various search and cortana keystrokes like key+S to search or window+C to speak to cortana.
