How to Easily Switch Audio Devices on Windows

If you are watching a movie that's playing your speakers and then decide to switch to your headset, this process of changing the devices feels a little bit embarrassing on windows.

As an alternative, the Audio Switch 2.0 application gives you a fest and easy way to select and audio device. Here is how to use it:

(i) This app will work on windows 7 and the upper versions of windows. Get a copy of this AUdio Switch 2.0 application.
(ii) To switch the Playback devices, just left click on the Audio Switch Icon in the system tray and select it from the list. Don't set it as default and click ok.
(iii) To switch recording devices, hold ctrl and left click on the Audio Switch icon.
(iv) If you want to hide some specific audio devices from the list, just right click on the icon => settings => Devices. you will need to highlight the device, check the box by Hide device from the list then click save settings.
If you want to change the device quickly, Audio Switch 2.0 has a list of keyboard shortcuts. These shortcuts are great for anyone who has shortage of media control keys and can be used in most other applications. They include these shortcuts:
(i) Switching between playback and recording devices.
(ii) Toggling mute on your playback and recording devices.
(iii) Adjust the volume up and down.

Audio Switch 2.0 Provides an onscreen display for viewing volume levels, currently selected audio devices and the mute status. The duration of the display appearing can be adjusted in the settings => General Tab.
It's a small app but adds a lot of convenience to switching between audio devices.
