IBPS Clerk Exam Syllabus 2016-2017

Candidates who are preparing for the IBPS Clerk Exam should also

question paper.These are the tips what you can prepare yourself 

yourself in a extra ordianry way.

IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam Syllabus Pattern

IBPS pre exam contains three papers Reasoning, Quantitative 

Aptitude and English Language.Total time duration to complete 

the exam will be 1 hour.Candidates who get qualified in this exam 

will only be able to appear in the main exam.Check the marks detail 

below:

1. Reasoning -                                        35  Questions                   35 marks

2. Quantitative Aptitude -                  35 Questions                   35 marks

3. English Language -                           30 Questions                  30 marks

So the IBPS pre exam will consists of total 100 questions and each 

question will carry 1 mark.So the pre exam carries 100 marks.

IBPS Clerk Main Exam Syllabus Pattern

IBPS Main exam contains five sections Reasoning, English 

Language, Numerical Ability Test, General Awareness Test and 

Computer Knowledge.Every section will consist of same number of 

questions and same number of marks.Time duration to complete 

the exam will be 2 hours.See the mark list below:

1. Reasoning Test-                              40 Questions            40 marks

2. English language-                           40 Questions            40 marks

3. Numerical Ability-                            40 Questions            40 marks

4. General Awareness-                        40 Questions            40 marks

5. Computer Knowledge-                   40 Questions            40 marks

So the main exam will consist of 200 Questions and each question 

will carry 1 mark.You would given 2 hours to complete this exam.

Candidate who want to apply for the IBPS CWE Clerk Exam should 

have the following eligibility

I. Nationality/Citizenship:
A candidate must be either -
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 

1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India

AGE:

Candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not 

have attained the age of 28 years then he/she can apply for this 

exam.Age relaxation for ST/ST is 5 years and for OBC is 3 years and 

for those who are disable is 10 years.

Education Qualification:

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University 

recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification 

recognized as such by the Central Government.
Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer 

systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have 

Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ 

should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of 

the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
