The first step to make the Microsoft Edge browser to your primary browser is to import your all bookmarks in this browser. To import bookmarks in Edge browser is very simple. If you have saved bookmarks in your any browser that's you are currently using on your windows PC. Microsoft Edge browser only supports importation of bookmarks from any other browser not the HTML files.
1. Launch the Edge browser then click on the main menu of the browser. You'll see a settings option at the bottom of the main menu of the Edge.
2. Just click on the favorites from another browser.
3. Choose the browser from the list of compatible browsers and then click import. After a few seconds, your bookmarks should appear in Edge.
Unlike the other browsers, Edge does not currently support the ability to import bookmarks from an HTML file. This means you can't export your bookmarks from another browser to an HTML file and then transfer them over to Edge.
If you want to import your bookmarks from an HTML file, you can do so by first importing them into a compatible browser. Then, open up edge and import the newly imported bookmarks directly from the browser
