Turn Off iCloud Reminders on OS X and iOS

I have come to believe on the reminders app on my Apple's Iphone. I set reminders daily and particularly enjoy location-based reminders that remind me to put the towels in the dryer when I come home. I don't enjoy the same reminder on the phone, ipad or MacBook.

You can synchronize the iCloud reminders app so that are alerted to reminders from all your devices. Because my iPhone is sometime out of my hand. I don't want or need reminders duplicates accross my apple ecosystem. You can easily turn off these duplicate reminders.
On a Mac, open system preferences and select iCloud. Uncheck the box for reminders from the list.

Similarly, on an iOS device, go to settings => iCloud. Then tap the toggle witch to off for reminders.
