Enable or Disable Hibernate in Windows 10

Hibernation is a state like sleep mode. In sleep mode your work remain same and at the place where you left them and whole CPU stop working and display turn off, until you touch any key of keyboard and mouse. But in hibernation you can put your PC instead of shutting down or putting it to sleep. Its take snapshot of file and drivers of the system and save that snapshot to your HDD before shutting down. This allows your PC to startup faster.

Hibernate does not really harm your computer, enabled by default. SO it's not necessary that you disable it even if you don't use it. whenever hibernate is enabled it reserves some of your disk for its file "hiberfil.sys" which is distributed at 75% of Installed RAM of your PC. If you have 8GB of RAM, Your hiberfil.sys file will occupy space upto 6GB and If you have 16GB of RAM, It will occupy 12GB of space for hiberfil.sys file.

The main reason of diable the hibernate on your computer is need of that extra GB's space which is always occupied by the hiberfil.sys file. If you turn hibernate off, you would not be able to use hibernation feature of the windows 10 nor you'll be able to take advantage of fast startup feature of windows 10,which includes both hibernation and shutdown for faster boot times.
