You may love the new "tiles" which fills half of the start menu in windows 10 or may hate it. But it doesn't matter how you feel about it, you can Customize the Windows 10 Start Menu, shrink it, expand it.
Here is the complete list of things you can do the right and left side of the start menu.
Make it Fill the entire Screen:- press right click anywhere on the desktop. From the menu of shortcut, choose personalize. On the setting screen, click start then turn on use start full screen.
In this mode, start menu left column is hidden. Your whole desktop filled by the live tiles area which is helpful for touchscreen.
Move a Tile:- Right click on the tile which you want to resize. Choose resize, you have always an option of small & medium. Some apps offer wide & large options too.
Add New Tiles:- Right Click on any folder, disk or an app, from the shortcut menu and choose "pin to start."
Its tile appears on the right side of the bottom start menu.
Stop Blinking of a Tile:- If you want to silence the animation of "live tile" right click on it. then choose "turn live tile off"
Remove a Tile:- Open start menu. right click the tile you want to delete from the menu of shortcut select "unpin from start".
Delete all The Tiles:- Press right click on each tile then choose "unpin from start". Repeat this until you remove all the tiles. Now remains the left hand column just it was in window 7.
Change the color of Tile:- Press right click anywhere on the desktop. From the shortcut menu, choose personalize. In settings click colors. You can change both color and background of the task bar and start menu.
