Eid al-Adha is the most popular Muslim festival all around the world. It is to commemorate the willingness of Abraham to follow Allah's command to sacrifice his son Ishmael. So this festival is also widely known as the festival of Sacrifice. Muslims all around the world celebrate this festival fully. When is Eid al-Adha 2016
Eid al Adha in 2016 is on 11th of September but in the parts of North America it falls a day later i.e, on 12th of September. Muslims celebrate this festival on the sunset of the previous day so it is going to celebrate in the evening of 11th of September. According to the Islamic calendar, the Bakra Eid falls on the same date but Gregorian calendar changes year to year where Islamic calendar doesn't. Gregorian calendar is lunar but the Islamic calendar is lunar so in Gregorian calendar the eve movie 1 days in every coming year. The information of the date of Eid is based on the astronomical calculation but still there are much debate on the exact date of the festival. How is Bakr-Id Celebrated
In the Muslim countries Id-ul-Zuha is a public holiday and celebrated as the greatest eve of the religion. Many families gather and enjoy each other fully. People do prayers to Allah for the best wishing of their life and to be good and healthy the entire life. The festival begin from the morning prayers and people do visit to the many friends and families and wish them a Happy Eid - Qurbani. This is the starting of the day and the whole day they celebrate the each moment of the day. People exchange food and gifts for their better relation with each other and to share the happiness of the day. Muslims share the food and money with the poors so that they can also enjoy,celebrate this festival of happiness and can take part in the celebration.
Muslims slaughter an animal which is symbol for the sacrifice of Ibrahim's son. Mainly a goat or a ship slaughter by the worshippers. The animal have the pass the many standards in order to qualify for sacrifice. The animal which is to be sacrifice should not be blind, ill, visibly lame and of short age. Only that animal which have all these standards will be scarified.
All over the world many animals slaughtered on this day. In Pakistan alone, more than 10 million animals are slaughtered on Eid ul-Zuha. But this is not legal in many parts of Australia, New Zealand, United States and United Kingdom.
What Does Hazz Involves
First of all you need to understand the word "Hazz" you may not know about the word Hazz but we will tell you the full information about Hazz. Hazz is the most faithful part of Islam religion. Hazz is a pilgrimage to Mecca. This is Islam's holiest site. Every Muslim who can afford should have take a journey to the Saudi Arab in their lifetime. Atleast 2 million people go to the Saudi Arab to see the Hazz in a year. Millions of people pray to Allah. The prophet Mohammad said that everybody who performs Hazz properly will return as a newly born baby free of all sins.
You just have to fly for Jedah and then have to travel by bus to Mecca. There are two rituals to perform one is Umrah and other one is Hazz. People usually wear white clothes during the ritual.
