The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts this exam twice in a year.This exam leads for the admission to the Army,Navy and Air Force.In the Naval Academy candidates are sent to the Naval courses for 4 years and after their completion of course they would given an opportunity to work in Executive and Technical branches.After crashing the written examination of NDA candidates are called for their SSB.If they get qualified then they would join Army,Navy and Air Force.Here you will get the exact syllabus for National Defense Academy (NDA) and syllabus for Naval Academy.

In NDA exam there will two papers on behalf of which you will be selected i.e, Mathematics and other one is General Eligibility Test. So here we will give you the Syllabus for NDA 2017 for both Mathematics And General Eligibility Test. The papers in both the subjects consists of objective type questions and there would be penalty for the wrong answers.Mathematics paper consists of 120 question carrying 2.5 marks each.In General Ability Test, there would be two parts of the paper- part A (this part consists of English in which there would be 50 questions carrying 4 marks each) other is part B (this part consists of physics,chemistry,general science and general knowledge also carrying 4 marks each).The syllabus for NDA 2017 consists of 60% from 12th std and 40% from 11th std.

Paper 1 - Mathematics
1. Trigonometry
Angles and their measures in degrees and in radians. Trigonometrical ratios.Trigonometric identities sum and difference formulae.Multiple and sub multiple angles.Inverse trigonometric functions.Applications-Height and Distance, properties of traingles.
2. Matrices and Determinants
Types of matrices,operations on matrices,determinant of a matrices,basic properties of determinant.Adjoint and inverse of square matrix,Applications-Solution of a system of linear equation in two or three Cramers Rule and by matrix method.
3. Algebra
Concept of a set,operations on set,Venn Diagram,De Morgan law,Cartesian product,relation and
equivalence relation
Representation of real numbers on a line,Complex numbers,basic properties,modulus,argument,cube roots of unity.Binary system of numbers.Conversion of a number in decimal system to binary system and vice versa.Arthemetic,Geometric and Harmonic progression.Quadratic equation with real coefficients.Solution of linear inequation of two variables by graphs.Permutation and combination.Binomial theorm and its application.Logrithms and their application.

Part B - General Knowledge
Section B (Chemistry)
Physical and chemical changes.Elements,mixture and compounds,symbols,formulae and simple chemical equation,laws of chemical combination,properties of air and water.
Section D (History,Freedom Movement etc.)
A big survey of Indian history with emphasis on culture and civilisation,freedom movement in India
Section F (Current Events)
Knowledge of world wide and Indian events held in recent yearsalso the culture events and sports events held in India in the recent months.
