Bhagat Singh was born on 27th Sept 1907 in Layllpur district of Punjab and all his life he tried to give freedom to the people of India. Some of his family members had been active in Indian Independence Movements and some of the members had been served in Maharaja Ranjit Singh's Army. Unlike others Sikh's children, Singh didn't attend Khalsa High School in Lahore. In 1923 he joined National College in Lahore. To avoid arranged marriage he left to Cawnpore and when returned he said that

Bhagat Singh was just 12 years old when Jalianwala Bagh massacre happened. After his school he went to Jalianwala Bagh and from there he collected a bottle of mud which was wet by Indian Blood. It is said that  Bhagat Singh worshiped this blood everyday.
