Uttar Pradesh/UP, Goa, Punjab, Manipur and Uttarakhand Election Result 2017

After hard-fought elections in five states - Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Punjab, Manipur, and Uttarakhand the result is due.

The exit poll results have been announced on Thursday, and the polls predicted that the Prime Minister Narender Modi's BJP would win the battle except for Punjab.
Let's see the Exit Polls and the Final Result state-wise:

Uttar Pradesh/UP Election Result 2017:

There were about 6 exit polls done by various agencies in UP, and it seems, through the exit polls, that the BJP would get the maximum seats in Uttar Pradesh. Two of the pollsters predicted a clean sweep by the Primi Minister's BJP party. Despite seat sharing alliance of Samajwadi Party (SP) and Indian National Congress (INC), BJP would get the maximum seats. 190-210, 185, 164-176, 155-167, and 285 seats given to BJP by Times Now-VMR, India News-MRC, ABP-CSDS, India TV-C Voter, and News 24 Chanakya respectively.
The Samajwadi Party (SP)- Indian National Congress (INC) given only 110-130, 120, 156-169, 135-147, and 88 seats by the different pollsters. According to the Survey, BSP would be in the third number, and the rest parties would remain in the last positions.

In this election, Prime Minister Modi is campaigning for his party, and he made a hell lot of changes in that to make the campaigning affective. So many rallies and public meetings were held to his name. In all his rallies and public meetings, PM Modi criticized Akhilesh Yadav for increased corruption and lack of development.

These are the election results of Uttar Pradesh in 2002, 2oo7, and 2012. In 2002 and 2012, SP was on the top, BSP at the second position, BJP at third position and Indian National Congress at the fourth position. In 2007, BSP got the maximum seats, and that were 205. But now, if we see the current positions of the parties then we find that the game has changed completely, and BJP is on the top. It's all because of PM Modi.

It was the UP exit poll 2017, and the final result is soon going to be announced by the Election Commission of India.

According to Network18 Gramener, BJP would be the winning party with highest seats as given in the exit poll, and that is 19. 14, 6, and 1 seats given to other parties respectively.

Let's see what's going to happen. But one thing is sure that AAP is not going to form any government in Goa with such seats. Not more than 7 seats were given to this party.

In 2002, BJP Got 17 seats in Goa where INC got 16 and others only 7 in total. In 2007, maximum seats were given to INC, and there were 16. BJP got 14 and others 10. Now BJP is ruling there, and it got 21 seats in 2012, where 9 and 10 seats were given to INC and others respectively.

Election results of Goa:

*Updated on 11/03/17, 16:54 IST -
BJP and Congress are on the top. BJP is leading with 2 seats and have won 12 total seats that becomes the total of 14 seats. Congress got 14 seats and leading with 1 which makes the total of 15 seats.

Punjab Election Result 2017:

According to the Punjab exit poll 2017, it is either Aam Aadmi Party or Indian National Congress Government in Punjab. All the pollsters predicted that the SAD-BJP alliance would be on the third spot while one of the two parties, AAP or Congress, would form the government. India Today-Axis predicted 4-7, 62-71, 42-51, and 0-2 seats for SAD-BJP alliance, INC, AAP, and Others respectively. On the other hand, Today's Chanakya predicted 9, 54, 54, 0 seats for the parties. The other three pollsters made almost the same prediction. India TV-C Voter predicted 5-13, 41-49, 59-67, and 0-3 seats for the parties.
India News-MRC predicted that AAP and INC would get 55 seats each and the SAD-BJP would get 7 seats. According to Times Now-VMR, AAP would form the government in Punjab with maximum 61 seats and SAD-BJP, INC would get 7 and 48 seats respectively.

According to a HuffPost-CVoter pre-poll survey, AAP would be the winning party with the majority of 63 seats. They also predicted that it's going to win Malwa region and it's said that whoever leader or whichever party wins in Malwa wins the Punjab.

In 2002, Indian National Congress won the election with 62 assembly seats, and Amarinder Singh became the chief minister of Punjab from Feb 26, 2002 to Mar 1, 2007. Parkash Singh Badal became the next chief minister when Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) won the election with 48 assembly seats in 2007. Also in 2012, SAD won the election with 56 seats.

Punjab election 2017 result live updates:

*Updated on 11/03/17, 16:54 IST -
Congress will form the government in Punjab because it has won the majority of seats. Total, it has won 77 seats. On the other side, Aam Aadmi Party got 20, SAD got 14, BJP got 3 and LIP got only 2 seats.

Manipur Election Result 2017:

According to the exit poll by India TV-C Voter, BJP would get 25-31, INC would get 17-23 seats, and 9-15 are given to other parties. On the other hand, India Today-Axis made a completely opposite prediction in which BJP and INC would get 16-22, 30-36 seats respectively and the rest seats other parties would get. These two different pollsters give us the two completely different pictures. If we go with the India TV-C Voter, then the BJP will form the government in Manipur, and if we go with the India Today-Axis, then INC will form the government. There is no change for the other parties. Although, Irom Sharmila's PRJA party is the third important party in the election, but this seems a tough job for the party. It might win. Let's see what will happen.

Major National political parties in Manipur are Indian National Congress (INC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). There are many minor national-level parties too in this state which are as follows - Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Trinamool Congress (TMC), Janata Dal (United) (JDU), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Communist Party of India (CPI), Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM), and Aam Admi Party (AAP).

Indian National Congress (INC) is ruling Manipur since last 15 years. If BJP wins this time, then it will be the end to the 15-year rule of INC in the state. In 2002, the Congress party got 20 seats. While BJP, FPM, and other got 4, 13, and 23 respectively. In 2007, INC, CPI, NCP, and others got 30, 4, 5, and 21 assembly seats. It was the third time in 2012 when INC won the election. It got 42 seats while TMC and others got only 7 and 11 seats respectively.

Election results of Manipur:
*Updated on 11/03/17, 16:54 IST -
Congress is leading in Manipur with 26 total seats. BJP got 20 seats. Other parties got few seats. Let's see what happens next.

Uttarakhand Election Result 2017:

It's going to be the end of Indian National Congress (INC) as all the five pollsters predicted the victory of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). There are only two main national parties here. If we talk about the India TV-C Voter, then it predicted equal seats for both the national parties. If we go with the Today's Chanakya, then the BJP will form the government in Uttarakhand, and Congress will only get 15 seats. Other parties would get the 2 remaining seats. India Today-Axis also predicted the victory of BJP. 46-53 seats given to BJP and only 12-21 to Congress. 2-6 given to other parties. The remaining two pollsters are also predicted the BJP's victory. India News- MRC and ABP-CSDS are giving 38 & 34-42 seats to BJP and 30 & 23-29 seats to Congress respectively. So, people are hoping for a new party in Uttarakhand and it's going to happen very soon.
There are total 70 seats in Uttarakhand and BJP is winning almost half of the seats according to the Uttarakhand exit poll 2017. Let's see what happens next.

In the 2002 election, Indian National Congress won. It got 36 seats, and the BJP got only 19. Other 15 seats were taken by the remaining parties. Then, N. D. Tiwari became the chief minister of Uttarakhand. Later in 2007 elections, BJP won, and B. C. Khanduri became the next chief minister. In the same election, INC got 21 seats, and other parties got 15 seats. In the last elections in 2012, again INC won most of the seats. BJP got only a single seat less than INC, it got 31 seats, and others got 7 seats.
